Within our focus on the life of St. Francis of Assisi, there are heaps of different topics that will be up for discussion at the Altar. We'll discuss following Christ in everything from engaging with nature, to the arts, to participating in social justice both locally and globally, to living a life of simplicity and contemplation and much more. One of the many statements from Chasing Francis that ignites a strong response from me is "Francis taught me that if we spent less time worrying about how to share our faith with someone on an airplane and more time thinking about how to live radically generous lives, more people would start taking our message seriously." I would love to have conversation about what it look like for a community of people to "live generous lives" when being called to incarnate Jesus in suburbia.
